I see people huddled underneath a thick blanket. The weather is cold, windy and a little snowy but the people underneath the blanket are warm and toasty, protected from the elements. There are others walking by who do not have a blanket. They’re cold and irritable. Offer them a place beside you under the blanket. There will always be enough space under the blanket for another person. It will grow, providing enough warmth and space for everyone.
I believe the blanket is God‘s love and protection. When you see people that are angry or frustrated, it’s often because the elements are so cold and they have no warmth of God‘s love- though it is always available to them. Especially when the days are extremely cold, be willing to offer a space beside yourself.
