I saw a person preparing the ground for a garden. She prayed as she worked. The prayer did not appeared forced, labored or even conscious. She prayed because that is what she did. This woman seemed happy and contented not at all bogged down by the madness of the world surrounding her little garden.
The words of her prayers were a fragrance that went up to heaven and pleased the Lord but also the words were vapors that sunk into the soil she worked. This thing made it healthy and enriched it so that it could produce many good things.
Let us be a people of prayer, motivated by the thought that it pleases the Lord. A byproduct of prayer is that it settles the soul and brings peace in a time of chaos.
