Conviction or Condemnation

It is vital to understand the difference between conviction which comes from God and condemnation which comes from Satan. Conviction leads us toward God while condemnation pushes us away from God. Conviction leads to change while condemnation says your never going to change. Conviction leads to life while condemnation leads to despair. Conviction builds you up while condemnation tears you down. - Pastor Kevin Queen

When you read the words in this blog if you feel motivated to change and move closer toward God that would be conviction which is good and healthy; however, if you feel rejected, shamed or oppressed that would be condemnation. As Romans says Christians are not subject to condemnation. When you feel the enemy pressing condemnation on you reject by quoting the first verse in Romans 8. Do not entertain those thoughts of condemnation.

These words, especially the more challenging ones, are intended to bring life and freedom.

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
— Romans 8:1-4
