A man wore a heavy chain around his leg. He had dragged it for a long long time, but recently he has found victory and freedom in God. God has handed him a key to unlock this chain to be rid of it. I see the man overwhelmed with excitement as he bends down with the key to unlock the chain but then he hesitates. He’s had this for so long he’s unsure if he can let it go even though he knows it’s a burden. He doesn’t know what it will be like living without this chain.
God sees your struggle and understands completely. But you are not your chain. You were not created to wear it. Use the key and step out. You’ll find there are smaller chains that have come from that great, large one. They all have locks and the keys for every chain can be found in the Bible. Living free from this bondage can be your reality.
