I see all the supplies set out before you to make a wicker basket. I think you have prayed about and looked forward to making this for a long time. After carefully organizing all the materials, you’re ready to begin. The size and scope of this basket is a little overwhelming, but you start with a joyful heart. Your hands are adapted to this task and without much practice you complete several rows of this basket. The fibers are woven tightly. However, before you are halfway out, you get a little bored with this project and perhaps you want to rush through it, wanting it to be done. I see the fibers begin to have some gaps in them.
I feel like God is saying to take apart the pieces that weren’t worked with the excellence that you are capable of. This basket is meant to hold precious things and if it is not done well, the precious things could be in danger of slipping through the cracks. Be faithful to what is set before you. Look for the joy and excitement that you had in the early days while you were still organizing and preparing for this project to begin.
