Seek the Lord while he may be found: Call upon him while he is near

Isaiah 55:6

Blackness

A woman is alone surrounded by utter darkness. Her breathing echos in the darkness making her aware she is in a great cavernous space. She feels terribly small and completely alone.

“Lord you there?” She whispers. His voice responds directly in front of her, “I am here.” She take one small step toward the voice then asks again,”Lord are you there?” He instantly responds, “I am here.” Again very close but this time a little toward the right. She steps in that direction. This goes on until she has so much confidence that when she asks He will respond that it is as if He holds her hand as she walks.

Even though she has always been in darkness she is aware she has gone a long way because the echos are gone. One step at a time progress is happening.

In the darkness there will be times when dogs will bark and thunder will clap but she will not bolt and run because her ear is tuned to His leading voice. She knows she is not alone there is someone holding her hand she just has to ask “Lord are you there?”
